Using vehicles without slowing down your model
Vehicle geometry is the classic source of bloated Revit files: a single detailed car can carry more polygons than an entire floor of furniture. Use detailed models sparingly in render views and keep 2D car blocks or low-poly versions for plans and working views. Most vehicle families sit on the Entourage category, which lets you control their visibility independently — turn entourage off in construction documentation and back on for presentation views. For parking layouts, check the family’s overall length and width against your local parking bay standard before arraying it, and remember that a car placed for scale in a render does not replace a properly dimensioned parking module in the drawings.

Should I use 2D or 3D cars?
Use 2D blocks for plans and elevations where only the outline reads, and 3D models for perspectives and renders. Mixing both keeps file size manageable.

Most are built on Entourage, so you can hide them per view without affecting other components.
