The Parameters Worth Checking Before You Load

Open any candidate family’s type properties and scan for: dimensions (width, height, leaf and frame thickness), materials (leaf, frame, glazing as separate assignments), operation (swing direction and angle), construction data (fire rating, acoustic values where relevant), and identity data (type marks and comments for scheduling). If a family exposes fifty parameters you’ll never use, that’s not richness — it’s noise that slows down everyone who touches the model after you.
